The Wind's Halloween Poem by Stan Rodriguez

The Wind's Halloween

The wind pushed against the rusty gate
making unsettled the spirits of the night

Come out—come out
was they calling
let not the sleep of death subdue.

Dance with the rain and we will freeze the night
there were no moral would dare
to watch us do.

Let celebrate this night together
let's play and sing our merry songs

For Halloween come but, once a year
and there are children, laughing in their costumed
waiting to celebrate their candy one and all.
