The Wooing Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Wooing

Rating: 5.0

I heard a voice (mild and sweet)
Ringing in my ear.
Invitingly it called to me—
Wooing ever near.
I followed cautiously
Into a chamber where
On a throne, magnificent,
Sat One so bright and fair.
And there was there—before the throne—
A spot reserved for me;
I took my place and humbly knelt.
My spirit was made free.
