The World Goes By - Poem by Alex M.ller

The moon rises and the sun sets,
Stars glisten and comets are caught in nets.

Wishes are wished and dreams are dreamed,
Lives are started, and others redeemed.

The wind blows and leaves start to fly,
Spreading the word of their sweet good-bye.

Perfect meter and rhyme about the passage of time. I like the way first lines of each couplet lead smoothly to the second-kind of like one minute or one hour leads to another, extending the time metaphor. (Report) Reply
