The Yellow Metal Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

The Yellow Metal

The yellow metal glitters-
the worth of which lures.

On the yellow metal
drops of red blood fell-
greed brought a devastating flood:
the sin was deadlier than the century's darkest night!

The victim was separated into pieces,
put inside a suitcase,
thrown into the river...

The predator lost his work and status, then himself.
Like the river, law took its own course.
