The Yeonja-Ru Pavilion

Dam-Woon, Kang

Before the Yeonja-Ru Pavilion, atop of the branches the flowers of the willows.
Wllow branches, and young swallows, they fly aslant the setting sun.
The swallows fly to chase the flowers, and the flowers run after the swallows,
Scattering into the various houses in the castle, they fly to run.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dam-Woon, Kang was a Ki-Saeng(Korean Geisha) at the last of the Yi dynasty in Korea. She left the many beautiful poems for Kim-Hae, near Busan, where there are many relics of the old dynasty named Gaya.
