There Is A Time When One Forces Oneself To Forget Poem by Shalom Freedman

There Is A Time When One Forces Oneself To Forget

THERE IS A TIME WHEN ONE FORCES ONESELF TO FORGET

There is a time when one forces oneself to forget
The worries the problems the difficulties
One wants a little rest in happiness
Just a small time of exuberance and joy
A holiday of freedom and laughter

In all the hard days of old age
One takes a little time off from thinking
And just enjoys everything
That is as it is
Wonderful and blessed
