There Is A Time When Despair Is Not A Moment

There is a time when Despair is not a moment
Or a passing event
But becomes Life itself
In old age with no new possibility and hope
With new ailments and problems more complicated all the time
Despair is daily life
And hopelessness inescapable
Life is despair
And going on is struggling against oneself
To not completely fail and lose all dignity.
