~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There's a dinosaur on Privet Drive,
And you ought to see it grin!
Since Vinnie challenged it to a race
Up to the mill and back again!
It's gray, it's big, it's black and green,
And thundering its eighteen feet.
And it's much taller than the poplar trees
That shadow the entire street.
I'm guessing it has plans to win,
Since it hasn't blinked but twice.
And because Vinnie's on an ego trip,
And Vinnie hasn't been too nice.
Now it's snapping at the bumble birds
That sneak a careful peek its way.
And it's booming like a thunderclap
That seems to have a lot to say.
It scrunched ol' Vinnie's bicycle,
And splintered up his baseball bat.
Then eyed ol' Vinnie's skateboard,
And now his skateboard's pancake flat.
And Vinnie's looking kind of scared.
We couldn't ask for more!
It isn't every day one gets
To race a real live dinosaur!
I would like to translate this poem
Good thing this is a children's poem. We really don't need another Jurassic Park! : -)
