'' There's A Lot Those Aliens Could Teach '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' There's A Lot Those Aliens Could Teach ''

The aliens decided,
Though we were divided,
They'd come and help us unite,
With the brawn they provided,
To peace we'd be guided,
That thought filled them up with delight.

With another one cured,
They'd feel reassured,
To assist us they just couldn't wait,
Our species matured,
To us they were lured,
It's they who were doomed to their fate.

Filled with conceit,
We bowed at their feet,
Making them believe we were true,
Our terrible deceit,
They believed was a treat,
A decision that they would soon rue.

What we wanted,
Left them haunted,
Riches and technology were our goals,
Totally undaunted,
Our visitors we taunted,
To steal from them we'd sell our souls.

Though feeling dazed,
They remained unfazed,
They let us take what they had,
While we were amazed,
Their spirits we razed,
It's then they said we were mad.

With nature at one,
We can't be undone,
But with you the opposite's the case,
You cannot outrun,
Your own smoking gun,
Where you exist is what you deface.

Though light years ahead,
This has to be said,
Our technology? is out of your reach,
To avoid being dead,
We need watered and fed,
