There's No One Other Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

There's No One Other

Does it matter 'how' I love?
And at what 'percentage'?
Seriously?
Does it?

If that love I have discovered is all for you.
And I've admitted the trying with lies,
To deny this is true.
To myself AND you.
Only to confess that 'today' I do.
And there's no one other for me BUT you!
Does it matter 'how' I love?
Seriously?
Does it?
If I said more than 100 percent,
Would you be convinced?
Or would you then ask me,
When did that 100 percent begin?

Does it matter 'how' I love?
And at what 'percentage'?
Seriously?
Does it?
