There's Staying Power

There's staying power in Jesus Christ
He is our life everlasting
Yesterday, today, forever
Such a treasure that we can bask in
He took our sin past...present...and future
And nailed it to the Cross
To the satisfaction of God the Father
Christ paid the uttermost cost!

Joy had to wait for three days
Until there at the empty tomb
Where our sentence of death was finalized
By the raising of the virgin born Son
Hallelujah's began their chorus's
And heaven and earth proclaimed
He is not here for He is arisen!
All praise be unto His name
He is not here for He is arisen!

Captured by truth my soul can express
That wonderful work of the Son
With God's Holy Spirit now living in me
A generation of praise has begun

When I hear another tell me His story
How that Christ too has set him free
Then within me there starts my Hallelujah
For I can identify absolutely
Nothing like a soul that's been saved
Or as God's Word says " born again "
Forgiven from sin and filled with the Spirit
In Jesus name amen...amen!
In Jesus name amen!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
