well done mixing the world of fantasy with reality, on the other hand the multiple meaning and interpreting of this recent poem tell us how you are different and giving the words a new life, this kind of works reminding me with Paz, Poe, Rimbaud, ....etc scored 10 by me...thanks

3 – " ..they who watch us from space, " are extraterrestrials OR other humans? ? or both? stanza 5: though " careless" IS a good word, it isn't here. Use " care less" (separate words) . my goodness, James does not use " green" as a topic this time! bri :)

2 – After reading the whole poem, i wonder if (in the 2nd stanza) the " me" is lying dead in a pool of water, being a war casualty. so, tadpoles can't love the 'speaker'. : (

1 – As James forewarned me, his poem is fashioned after one by a long-dead poet. the only difference between the titles is that Sara Teasdale used " Rains" & JM used " Rain" . i suggest readers read Sarah's [[ OOPS! it's " Sara's" ]] poem also.
