There's Nothing Wrong With Being Right Poem by Ima Ryma

There's Nothing Wrong With Being Right

There's nothing wrong with being right,
But oft when I am I must choose
Whether it's really worth a fight
With the wife, one I'll surely lose.
For all of my long married life
I too often learned the hard way
That even though be wrong the wife,
It be a truth I should not say.
Cuz though the wife be wrong a fact,
My pointing out that fact to her
More oft than not be a dumb act,
Causing me lots of grief for sure.

My being right is never wrong,
But should hush up to get along.
