These Things I Pray Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

These Things I Pray

Rating: 0.5

I pray for peace passing all understanding,
And for healing if it be Thy will.
Please send strength where it is needed,
In rough waters echo “Peace Be Still! ”

For your children and all who love you,
May they now know Who is your Rock.
And understand that in each lifespan,
We play life’s games against the clock.

May the pain that you are now feeling,
Leave scars toughened for whatever comes next,
And be thankful that He has promised,
To do for each of us what He knows is best!

May our Father Who is always with you,
Be evident to all who stand around.
Keep your eyes now lifted upward,
As our knees bend down on the ground.
