Thev Loner Poem by Francis Duggan

Thev Loner

Rating: 5.0

The praises of celebrities he never does sing
He lives in his own way and does his own thing
He is never seen in the club rooms of the local football club
And he drinks on his own when he is in the pub
He does not have heroes or heroines to admire
And to be like anyone else he never to does aspire
Negative things of others you never hear him say
And he is not judgmental in any sort of a way
Known by the nickname of The Loner on his side of the town
By the tribal community members who in their words like to put those different to them down
On current affairs he has nothing to say
In his mid twenties he lives in his own way
But what of I have to say of him many would disagree
That if everyone were like him humanity for the better would be.

A great tribute to loners, Francis! THe Greek philosopher Empiricus would love your poem. And would most certainly agree with your last line!
