'' They'll Take Our Last Breath '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' They'll Take Our Last Breath ''

Rating: 5.0

The news is polished,
The truth disappears,
Slavery's been abolished?
For hundreds of years.

The politics of lying,
Are full of intrigue,
There's no denying,
They're in a different league.

The elite still complain,
They don't get enough,
While we feel the strain,
Their attitude is, tough?

When big business booms,
You can be sure,
If and when trouble looms,
They will never be poor.

They do not accept blame,
The facts they then smother,
To our eternal shame,
We fight with each other.

Those way down the scale,
Are the ones who will pay,
It's the rich who'll prevail,
They just walk away.

The wealth of the few,
Far outnumbers the many,
For each trillion due,
We'll get but a penny.

In so many sectors,
Police corruption is rife,
Our so-called protectors,
Took George Floyds life.

Trumps states, George is smiling,
Unemployment is falling,
His statement is reviling,
Most would say galling.

Though we're under attack,
From birth until death,
Unless we fight back,

‘' They'll Take Our Last Breath ‘

If truth disappears then it provokes thought. Truth should be kept in spotlight. Politics scribbles and business booms. This poem is a very thought provoking poem.
