Things Get Better Poem by Lu Vernezze

Things Get Better

Misty days, bleak beginnings, early wake up calls
I hated those depressing winters
No writing was on the walls
I never believed i'd find someone would know my worth
Then along you came from nowhere, you complete my earth

Now these horrid dark bland mornings aren't as bad
Yes, there still depressing, but i wont be sad
I know soon enough the summer will come through
And my day will end up perfect
because i'm coming home to you

Shadows will fall on everyone at some point in life
You can't truly know happiness
If you've never been through strife
I want you to be my husband
And want to be your wife
My days now are all so clear
