Thinking In Metres

Rating: 5.0
Poets are everywhere today
Writing what they have to say
Shooting the breeze as they sneeze
Wiping their noses they wheeze
Thinking in metres they turn up heaters
Words coagulate, and clot as they teeter
No need for reality, as they rub their bellies
Imagination fires as they begin to rally
Here it comes unannounced, an ounce of reason
Definitely a poem for all seasons.

Those are the very thoughts that come to mind...just before that first touch of the keyboard. Terrific verse, Robert!

This is a wonderful depiction of the poets of today's world, and their obsession with verse
