This And That Poem by Amanda Swindahl

This And That

I don't have words, I have pictures and memories.

Do you remember this, I am holding onto that,

I don't want your sorrys, and promises,

I was holding onto this, been there, done that.

Do you remember this?

How could you forget that?

I don't have anything left to give,

I gave you my everything.

Remenissing over every moment you held me,

A reason I found to keep holding back,

I held on until I couldn't grasp anymore.

Letting go,

Shedding the last of these tears,

But I don't want to forget this,

I cant let go of that.

I don't want to forget you,

but I cant keep crying over this and that,

Sealed with a kiss,

remember you held me like this,

remember you held me like that.

Remember we danced here,

remember when you kissed my forehead there.

Remember when we stood over there,

and swore we would never let go,

look at me now,

crying over this and that.

You forgot this,

you promised that.

You said never again,

and than you did that.

I have to get away,

but it doesn't mean I won't come back to visit this or that.

These ones, and those ones,

piled up, memories that play like slow motion movies are moving fast through me,

I don't have words,

I have pictures and memories.

Do you remember this,

I will forever always remember that.
