I remember it like it was just yesterday
We sat on the log by the river
Sharing a laugh or two
You looked at me and said "talk to me"
And I told you everything
From how I got that scar on my forehead
To my heart shaking nightmares
You leaned in slowly and placed a heartwarming kiss on my lips
Filled with false promises
We scheduled another date by the river the next day
But you didn't showed up
You said you had something important to take care of
Days rolled over into weeks I kept going there
Hoping that you would show up and fill the emptiness within me
But you never came
I still don't know how you slipped right through me
I still don't know where I went wrong
But here I am, a few months later
Still sitting on this log
Waiting for you to share a laugh with me again

I would like to translate this poem
sitting on the log where the memory happened. Another very good write.
