This Orchid Day I Will Wear Forever

this orchid day I will wear forever
I dreamed then and now, again.
this petaled hour.

brimmed with stars, the rains
and the coolness after in the afternoons
I wandered in, and now, again.

greenness has not shattered in my mind.
though some would have it so.
though countless snows have fallen

on the gardens in my soul.
this orchid day... I sighed and was at rest.
the sun melting like crushed strawberries

into a cream sky.
and the gold leaf meets the silver mist
and I am still I.
