This, The World Poem by Somanathan Iyer

This, The World

To appease the famed and popular
Ignored are the real standards
Evacuated is the real judgment
Ejected out is the analytic mind
Preferred some plunder the show
Steal the lime light sealing the glow
Applauded is every work of theirs
Appearing every word receives an accolade
Magnified is mole like works
Masterly called every scribbling
Out there some proclaimed experts
In promoting interests of their preferred lot
Till this trend continues Real talents rot in exile

Showmanship gets rewarded in the short run. One who is good must be able to show that it is good. It may not be enough to do good work and keep quiet about it. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
