This Time You Are Mine Poem by Dorsey Baker

This Time You Are Mine

Don't mumble
grumble
stumble
when you speak to me
I want your
words to be
s loud and clear
as they can be
I don't want
no monologue
only your mind
and body
can clearly understand
clarity is what I demand
love is not a foreign tongue
everybody speaks the language
at one time or another
down through the years
everybody
has had
some kind of lover
and its just that this time
you aint somebody else's lover
you are mine!
