This Valentine Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

This Valentine

How should I celebrate, this valentine?
In this mass-produced city of mine,
Where nothing can be defined peculiar,
Though of very delicate design…
.
Pretty parcels, they blink and wink,
To everyone who passes or looks back.
"Love makes the world go", I hear say,
Who would resist love, on this rosy day?
.
My words are shabby and frail on this Day,
And my pen doesn't write in its usual way.
I wish I could find things other than money
To convey to my beloved what I hope to say.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Just divine, the gift of mine,
`Tis stored, as a valentine.
I do have the time to spare,
And many stories to share,
From the ballads and the lays
The bygones of the old days.
Though rules seem to confine,
Thy dreams are bound to shine.(Occasional poem)

1) How about the word peculiar? Just replaced it...2) Money makes the mare go. is what i had in mind at the time of writing...so i chose to drop the word round...Thank you for pointing it out and I will sure rethink about it :) 3) I feel much honored that you like the poem, a big encouragement that is. -Perdita
