Though Some Tell You Poem by Francis Duggan

Though Some Tell You

Though some tell me writing without pay is a waste of time
I feel that i am one who was born to pen rhyme
One reason i add to my numbers of rhymes every day
Without recognition or any hope of pay
For many years i have been a rhyming buff
And i am one who has written pages of stuff
To write rhyme is so easy as easy as can be
So easy to many and easy to me
I penned my first rhymes back in nineteen seventy three
As a fellow of rhyme i have a long history
With words i am one who just loves for to play
And though i have been advised for to give rhyming away
If i said that i would quit rhyming this would be a lie
Since i hope to be doing it until the day i do die.
