Thought To Be Weak, Meek And Docile Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Thought To Be Weak, Meek And Docile

I can not alone be,
The only one who still remembers...
When truth was relevant.
And used to defend against,
Those who would lie.
Then pretend they didn't.

Today,
Liars seem to be revered.
And given positions of authority.
For their ability to deceive.
While those honest and can be trusted,
Are thought to be weak.
Meek and docile.
With nothing else to offer.
But distance.
Proven they can stay away.
