Thoughts Chasing My Thoughts Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Thoughts Chasing My Thoughts

Rating: 5.0

I with my thoughts in solitude:
Noisy company for lonely time;
I find myself in no aptitude
To kill them, and justify the crime;
For some intrusive thoughts
Invade my head, chasing my thoughts.

And far away with them I go…
To what I lived, through fantasies;
Flashbacks of the hell I saw:
Heart reacts and madly screams!
To present time, I no more relate:
Is this my world, or is my fate?

When out of thoughts' control,
Left lost, exhausted of energy,
I come to now: I find it so dull…
The sighed word is—‘tragedy'!
Wish I could fight this dreadful fear,
Protect the thoughts, which are to me dear.

So true....! In loneliness, thoughts give us a noisy company! They drag us to scenes we do not wish to remember any more in life! But like uninvited intruders, they come and plague us! A great write Mihaela!
