Three Thousand Poem by keith brown

Three Thousand

I crawled.
You taught me to stand

I fell.
You helped me up

I walked.
You taught me to run

I watched from the beach,
You taught me to swim

I cheered as other rode
You taught me the essence of speed

I am the child of the three thousand

Each stride nurtured, each heartbeat cherished

I swam, rode, and ran
I am the daughter of commitment, the son of perseverance

I am

IRONMAN!
