A conversation between death and life
The viewing
I wanted you to touch my breast,
restore its rise and fall.
By kissing gelid lifeless lips, rekindle my life's sweet flow.
I wanted you to take my hand, to I warm it with your own,
caress my cheek and finger tips, now as cold as stone.
I wanted,
Oh!so much to feel the warmth your love can bring,
to laugh and talk, to lay with you, to welcome one more spring.
I wanted
Oh!so much to stay, but that was not to be.
so I will ask just one thing,
please
Remember me.
The viewing
I wanted to touch your breast,
restore its rise and fall.
By kissing your sweet, yet lifeless lips awaken life's sweet flow.
I wanted, to take your hand in mine, to warm it with my own.
Caress your cheeks your finger tips,
that now resemble stone.
I wanted
Oh!So much to give the warmth that love can bring
To laugh, to cry, to sigh with you.
To welcome one more spring
I wanted
Oh!so much to say
My darling come with me, to hold you close for one more day.
But that was not to be.
So I will promise just one thing,
as my farewell to you
Each hour, each day, each fledgling Spring
I will Rememberyou.
Beautiful poem expressing the emotions of love so tenderly. Parting is never easy.
