Through my window I can see
a small brown bird looking back at me
I see our garden spread out there
with bright fresh flowers everywhere
The lawn so green and newly mown
with a sundial standing all alone
Several trees are growing tall
spreading their branches overall
Two small deer have come to call
cropping the grass and odd leaf fall
On the fence grey squirrels run
watching them is so much fun
A rich brown pheasant crosses by
peers through my window with beady eye
In the pond the fish swim round
splashing the water, a gentle sound
All this I see 'most every day
giving me joy in every way.
