Through Your Daughter's Eyes Poem by Melissa Patty

Brought into this world to first look into my mother's eyes
As she cradled me close to her heart she would always calm my cries
Forthe love she always give with so much of her heart
Nothing would ever prepare me for our hands to be separated apart
Lord reached his hand to an angel that forever would stay
As her feathered wings grew strong she took flight and flew so far away
Taught me so much that life can hold
I wish that I could have visited you when you were grey and old
To watch me grew into the woman you raised me to become one day
I know your always holding my hand and showing me the way
As your daughter the love I have for you will remain strong forever
I hope one day my wings takes me to the place we can once again be together
I'm so blessed to have been given a beautiful angel that I can call mine
As your the brightest star that forever and will always shine.
