Tic Toc Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Tic Toc

Rating: 5.0

Time, relentless, ruthless
Sweeping me swiftly forward
Moving without pause
Each lover a memory.

In childhood time seemed paused
Bright summers never ending
Holidays of happiness and adventure
Shared with family and friends long dead.

How do I hold back time
Trapped, precious to the heart?
Slipping rapidly away
Chaining me to loneliness.
