Time - Poem by Brian Potthast

Time slips by so fast it seems
When with you my heart it gleams
Walking along till the end
Only for you, will I bend
Forever waiting for a sign
That your love is as strong as mine
Stopping to listen to your cares
They only turn out to be snares
So often you say “we need to wait”
This is very hard in my current state
I’m trying not to dig so deep
For all the answers that I seek
Lost in this space without a care
Everything is well, knowing you are there.
