Time Poem by Catherine Mburu

Time

Rating: 4.0

When we are done,
And the work is complete,
As we walk with head held high,
That we have achieved what we wanted,
Then we will know the time is right.

Its always easier said than done,
But the moment reality hits us on the face,
And we realize how much time we have wasted,
Doing the wrong thing at the right time,
We feel so sorry for ourselves.

Time lost can never be recovered,
Or so they say,
Just like blinking of the eye,
Or flashing of light,
How time flies unnoticed.

At the end of it all,
Will we be content that we achieved what we wanted?
With our set goals, did we score or loose?
Did we meet our target?
Or plainly regret.

If we only give ourselves a second chance,
And try it again,
This time round we would be very cautious,
Doing the right thing at the right time,
Just so we don't waste precious time,
That goes unrecovered.
