Time Poem by Juan Olivarez

Time goes by so very fast,
Before you even know.
Nothing you've known will ever last,
Like the wind it fairly blows.

Time is one thing you can't prolong,
Though you tried your very best.
You cannot hold time he's just too strong,
Don't try it even in jest.

Time marches on, he can't be derailed,
You can't make time, or kill it.
Those who have tried, all have failed,
It races by, and you will feel it.
