Time Does Not Make Sadness Any Less Sad - Poem by Shalom Freedman

Time does not make Sadness any less Sad
Life is a long going home
We live and are young for years
But then the dark days come
And it is hard to find joy in them-

We are all going home
But the end is more painful and difficult
Oh youth oh joy oh brightness oh life
Let me sing a happier song
Here in my old age.
