Time Flies Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Time Flies

Everyday starts fresh.
As the witnessing of morning dew.
With a dawning from the Sun.
Done to come and introduce,
A new day arriving.
Rising upon the horizon.
Appearing as it does to view.
For me and you and others too.
And,
What was did within hours to do...
Before the Sun begins to set and go.
Will never return to repeat again.
No matter what is tried,
To revive and relive time spent.
In denial.

Time flies.

Kept remembered are the first days of Spring.
To remember.
And to notice them gone.
Kept remembered is the heat Summer brings.
To remember.
But to notice this gone.
When the Autumn comes it soon leaves.
As Winter drops its snow to go.
So does the chill in the air.
To remember it there.
But not for long.
It too has gone.
But lingering on are memories,
Kept remembered.
As time flies.
Not to stay each day.
To do if noticed.
How fresh the dawn and air to breathe.
But time to keep it,
Flies.
