Time Grows Shorter But The Days Grow Longer Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Time Grows Shorter But The Days Grow Longer

This could be
a small town
and you could be
on the nearest street
from where I live
and it would still seem
like you were
on an inaccessible island
across the sea.

I don’t expect
you would ever say hello again
should we cross paths
at the same intersection
where we first met,

but I still love you
and I can’t forget
Your hair in the sunlight
or your eyes in the rain
or anything I ever knew about you.
