Time Is Coming To Get Me Poem by Shalom Freedman

Time Is Coming To Get Me

Rating: 5.0

Time is coming to get me
I pretend it is not
It will always somehow not get here
But it is coming
And I won't escape it
It gets everyone after all
And it will get me
I say ‘I still have five good years maybe even a few more'
But it is coming to get me
Every day it gets me a little
I don't notice
But it comes all the time
I won't know when maybe
But it will get me
It gets everyone
And whether I am afraid or not
Whether I think I can deny it indefinitely or not
It will get me
Time will get me
And I won't be here
It is getting me now
And it will get you too.
