Time Is Never On Our Side
Why is it some things we do
take longer than others?
Why is it some lives
live much longer than others?
These are questions
for which there are no answers.
Time seems to stretch
when we dislike what we do,
yet it seems to fly by
when we are enjoying ourselves
and as we get older,
we cannot do as much
as we did when we were young.
Time is never on our side
no matter what we do.
