Time is the currency of life,
spent with every breath,
traded for moments we hope will matter,
but never saved, never reclaimed.
It slips through fingers,
in silence, in noise,
in laughter that echoes briefly,
in tears that dry unnoticed.
We bargain with it carelessly,
on things that fade,
on words left unsaid,
on doors never opened.
But time does not negotiate.
It gives without asking,
takes without warning,
leaves without regret.
What remains is not what we held,
but what we gave,
the weight of presence,
the touch of meaning.
Spend it wisely--
not in fear of loss,
but in the richness of being
fully, fiercely alive.
