Time Moves Fast Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Time Moves Fast

Long lost days of daisy chains,
Splashing in puddles left by the rain,
Rainbows and blue skies,
Making those mud pies,
Walks in the park,
Playing kiss chase in the dark,
Nights at the flicks,
Getting our kicks,
At the discotheque,
The best times yet,
High platform shoes,
No time for the blues,
For we lived for each day,
Time didn't get in our way,
When we were young,
Life was such fun.
Those dips in the sea,
Neath the blazing sun.
Where have those days gone?
Life must go on,
I miss them so,
Why can't time just go slow.
