Time To Live It Given Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Time To Live It Given

Time to live it given,
Does not repeat a past.
To have had.
Or allow acts done,
With them to redo or undo...
Either successfully to achieve.
Or misdeeds to do consciously.
Fortunately or not,
Time is not given...
To then turn back stopped to watch.

And mistakes claimed to make,
Some will admit a learning from them.
While many will defend,
What they purposely did.
Seeking the comfort of revenge to commit.

Then to sit for the rest of their lives,
Wondering why...
Forgiveness given to get it,
No one feels or thinks to believe...
This should be near their list,
Of priorities needed to do to choose done.
Or...
Come close to approach the thought of it!

To decide.
And leave,
Any judgement passed on them...
For this decision to have made,
Left to God to place...
Eternal time found to give it.
Leaving the appropriateness of this,
Un-Christian act to perform...
With God to know.
Why this choice had been chosen.
And time to waste to experience its limitations,
Hopefully God will understand...
Why this to do had been left in HIS,
Forgiving hands.
