Time Took My Heart Poem by Josh Currier

Time is but a doorway,
That leads into our future or the past.
You never know where time will take you,
Or how long that time will last.

Time can in a way give you tiny look,
Of what the future may be.
But often time passes up itself,
Its just too fast to see.

Time takes control of us,
And makes us think we don’t have enough.
If you focus too much on the future,
The present will just pass you up.

It’s a struggle to catch up,
When time passes you by.
But sometimes you lose something,
Something so hard to find.

To get that time back,
Its not impossible to say the least.
Its finding what you lost to begin with,
That’s the missing piece.

If only I can find it,
Maybe I can have that time back once more.
To cherish and love it and never let it go,
Like I should’ve the first time before.

Ill never let time pass me by again,
I learned what time is like to lose.
Im keeping a watchful eye on it,
Time will never again make me choose.

Should fate throw me another chance,
Time will be on my side.
To focus only on the most important things,
The things that matter most inside.
