Timeshift
***
You lost your watch
at 12 midnight.
You didn't wake up.
It's not your time.
You're looking for your watch
in the deserted alleys
and the pupils of homeless yellow eyes.
Oh
Out of time
a person will become a stray bird
or the rhythm of a dark echo
In the dark night.
You're getting off the fast-moving metro.
You look back confused.
As if you forgot something -.
you don't know what.
According to your time
the metro still hasn't arrived -
Although at every station
it bids farewell to a group
thinking they've arrived.
There are places
that are outside time.
There is no movement in them -
empty like this poem, of people
that all beings are fleeing from.
You are haunted by a feeling
of cracks in the walls
and emptiness inside
the heroes of stories -
as we search eagerly
for things we've lost -
and we don't know where they are.
A very, very discerning and thought provoking poem. A brilliant depiction of life's emptiness. So poignant. A reader could feel the intense emptiness through the compelling images embedded in this masterpiece.
