Tiny Little Birds Poem by Pamela O. Rucker

Tiny Little Birds

Rating: 5.0

A red bird was perched upon a tree
As beautiful and free as a bird could be
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly?
To be able to soar as high as the big blue sky
Have you ever wondered how they survive?
Just what it is that keeps them alive
Life isn't always as easy as it seems
Maybe that's why they usually travel in teams
They fly for hours without taking a rest
For tiny pieces of straw to make a nest
They're chirping all day singing a song
I bet their days never seem long
But I know their maker is the same as mine
The one who turns the water into wine
He cares for all animals great and small
Just like his children, one and all
These little birds have no care in the world
As they fly around all day and tumble and twirl
Can we not humble ourselves as to be so free
As these tiny little birds chirping in a tree
