Tip Toeing Back From Bravado Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Tip Toeing Back From Bravado

A raid.
Anticipating it.
And awaiting.
With others also participating.
To perform against,
Their own government.
Instructed and conscious of it,
Is...
Insurrection.
Betrayal.
And, treason to commit!

Although there may be some,
Accustomed to accuse...
On others what they've done,
With an intention meant to do.
To be thought and believed,
Victims too!

Tip toeing back,
From a bravado!
Like children in the act,
Caught.
Like children in the act,
Caught.
Detached.
From common sense,
Not to have had.
Tip toeing back,
From a bravado!
Caught and seen attacking...
Established foundations,
To crumble and destroy...
And to bring them down.
As they follow to be told...
Be brave and bold.

Minds lost to a cause,
And...
Absent of common sense.
Adults instructed to destruct.
With hockey sticks,
And flag poles to prove...
Their mental illness.
While excusing what they do...
As their defense.

And they...
Tip toe back,
From a bravado.
Making excuses.
And what they do dismissed.
They tip toe back,
From their bravado.
Like children wishing,
Their 'boo-boos' kissed.
They tip toe back.

They tip toe back.
As if they're movie victims.
They tip toe back.
From a doing done to do it.
They tip toe back.
With excuses to be heard,
How what was done to them...
THEY,
Don't deserve!

Sickened to believe...
Their mission has conditions.
As they tip toe back.
With no leader that deceives.
As they tip toe back,
From their bravado!
