Tipsy Poem by Adryan Barnathan

Tipsy

In a couple of days- I won't remember your name
In a couple of days- You won't be on my mind
In a couple of days- You'll be long, gone goodbye

It's Saturday night- I'm drinking my wine
From the side of my eye- I see you, coming by
Then, 'Hello'- You bought another, glass of wine

I don't mind sharing- a little bit, too much wine
Just making the best- of this time

You're not my type- but the bottles fine

You're telling me things- You'll forget by noon
I'm tipsy, not lonely- not confused

So don't pretend- there's more than this
Just sharing a drink- not a kiss

'Cause in a couple of days
Yeah- in couple of days
In a couple of days- You'll be long, gone, gone, gone
gone, goodbye~
