The clock shouts its orders, tick-tock,
no reprieve,
a slave to the seconds,
trapped and deceived.
Run, hurry, always faster, never enough done.
Who still dares to live?
Who cares to hold on?
Rules, laws, hollow words,
imposed with an iron hand,
they promise freedom but build walls across the land.
Speaking without meaning, laughing without fire,
where is the echo of longing,
where is desire?
Enough of pretense, enough of demands,
away with the masks, away with commands!
Give me space, air, and light,
not these chains, not this duty's might.
