'Tis A Mystery Poem by Bryan Taplits

'Tis A Mystery

They both seethe forth- the sun and moon
They each throw forth their light,
The sun, her outburst shines all day
The moon she glows at night.
So similar are the joys they bring-
As each divides this light,
For in the morning and night they both know
-with this show-
That neither is wrong nor right.
Only God knows why each solitary sojourn begins-
then hides-
And neither fire-show is the best,
Though neither wears a watch on her celestial arm
Each twin knows the time when she must rest.
Only the Divine who shoots blazes from each one
Can tell them that, 'Breakfast is done and now it is sup',
And surely, then, we shall all know-
when the curtains of each goes up.
And then we will see that each of these scenes
is a glowing review
Of this,
'God's Heavenly Show.'
